Mindfulness is a commitment to finding balance in your work and life. And understanding that productivity is more than just making lists and setting goals.

A productive life is a mindful one; to that end, it is essential to take an active part in making the most of our days and the decisions we face.

By establishing routines and creating an environment and mindset that foster efficiency, we can work smarter, not harder. Enabling us to engage in focused work that leads to a more meaningful life.

The following tips will help take your productivity to the next level.

Removing distractions

Achieving a mindful lifestyle of productivity begins by creating an environment conducive to productivity.

Start by removing all distractions — phones, emails, and other electronics.

Whether you need to put your phone away during the day or in “do not disturb” mode in the evenings, taking active breaks from these gadgets is essential.

This will allow you to focus on the task instead of being overwhelmed by messages and notifications.

Taking time to reflect, stay organized, and prioritize our time helps keep us on track. And creates a space to cultivate our productivity.

Distractions are everywhere, and deciding how to deal with them is up to you.

You can set workable boundaries, such as limiting your social media time, using an app to restrict your access online, or setting reminders to break away from the screen.

You can also inform family, friends, or colleagues beforehand that you will only be available at certain times of the day. When they know your working hours, they won’t bother you with phone calls or text messages during those hours.

Whatever you choose will bring you back to the present moment. And allow you to be more mindful and productive.
